10 alleged saboteurs arrested in the city
07 March 2015, Nirapad News: Members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained 10 alleged saboteurs from different corners of the capital in the last 24 hours till this morning, police said.
“They were arrested for planning subversive activities during the ongoing countrywide indefinite blockade program enforced by the BNP-Jamaat alliance,” Deputy Commissioner of DMP media wing Masudur Rahman confirmed this in the morning.
The indefinite blockade, called by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Jamaat-e-Islami and other partners of the 20-Party alliance, today stepped into 61st day.
However, despite the blockade and hartal programme, the life remains almost normal as the movement of vehicles and activities of other offices and services still continue as usual.
BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia announced the non-stop road-rail-waterways blockade across the country since January 6.
