10 rivers register rises, 69 falls
12 October 2015, Nirapad News: Water levels in 10 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 69 stations recorded falls.
Among the 85 monitored water level stations, two river stations have been registered steady while one has been recorded flowing above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said here today.
The Kobadak at Jhikargacha is flowing above its danger levels by 11cm.
All the major river systems except rivers in the north-eastern region are in falling trend.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am today.
A total of 26 mm rainfall was recorded at Chittagong and 21 mm at Chandpur.
