10 rivers register rises, 72 falls
10 Septembar 2015, Nirapad News: Water levels in 10 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 72 stations recorded falls.
Among the 85 monitored water level stations, three river stations have been registered steady while 15 stations have been recorded flowing above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said here today.
In the next 72 hour, the overall flood situation in some parts of the North, Central, North-Western and North-Eastern region of the country; Kurigram, Gaibandha, Jamalpur, Bogra, Serajganj, Sylhet, Sunamganj, Netrokona, Manikganj, Rajbari, Munshiganj and Shariatpur districts may likely to improve.
The Ghagot at Gaibandha, the Jamuna at Bahadurabad, Sariakandi and Serajganj, the Gur at Singra, Atrai at Baghabari, Dhaleswari at Elasin, Lakhya at Lakhpur, Kaliganga at Taraghat, Dhaleswari at Jagir, the Padma at Goalundo, Kobadak at Jhikargacha, Old Surma at Derai, Kangsha at Jariajanjail and the Titas at Brahmanbaria are flowing above their respective danger levels by 4cm, 16cm, 32cm, 45cm, 42cm, 105cm,82cm, 21cm, 37cm, 5cm,16cm,36cm, 33cm, 23cm and 54cm respectively.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the past 24 hour ending at 9am today.
A total of 58.4mm rainfall was recorded at Narsingdi, 30.5mm at Sylhet, 35.8 mm at Bandarban and 22mm at Narayanhat.
