100 women to be recruited for BGB
06 December 2015,Nirapad News: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) director general Major Genral Aziz Ahmed said that the process of appointing at least 100 women in the paramilitary is underway.
He made this disclosure at a press conference at BGB headquarters in city on Sunday afternoon.
The ministry concerned approved the appointment of 50 women. Later it was increased to 100 due to huge response from employment seekers, the BGB DG said.
Regarding the killings on border, the DG commented that the killing can be reduced to zero if people stop crossing the border illegally.
According to him, mass awareness is needed for reducing the border killing.
He also said that as many as 40 people were killed past year in border shooting. ‘It has been reduced to 33 this year,’ he added.
