11 teenagers rescued from Myanmar
19 March 2016, Nirapad News: A team of detectives rescued 11 teenage girls from Myanmar on Saturday with the help of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members.
Sources said, a Buddhist monk trafficking the teenagers of different areas of Roangchhari upazila of Bandarban to Myanmar on February.
As the victims’ family members could not get any information about them, one of the missing teenagers father filed a case on 26 February. Police later arrested the monk and according to his information, law enforcers rescued the missing teenagers.
Police Super Mizanur Rahman and DB acting official Md Manzur Alam said, a case was filed under Human Trafficking Act against the detainees.
