Bangladesh on Friday reported 5,993 COVID-19 cases while the coronavirus claimed overnight 145 lives.
The recent numbers pushed the country’s total fatality to 25,023 while the total cases stood at 14,53,203 , according to a handout issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The country reported 17.18 percent COVID-19 positive cases as 34,892 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, DGHS said.
The official tally showed the virus killed 25,023 people and infected 14,53,203 so far, it added.
The recovery count rose to 13,47,755 after another 10,574 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the past one day.
The DGHS statistics showed of the people infected from the beginning 92.74 percent recovered, while 1.72 percent died.
