16 rivers register rises, 67 falls
7 October 2015, Nirapad News: Water levels in 16 rivers stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 67 stations recorded falls.
Among the 85 monitored water level stations, one is above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said today.
All the major river systems are in falling trend except Kushiyara, which may likely to continue in next 5 days.
The Kushiyara River may likely to rise in next 24 hours.
A total of 67 mm rainfall was recorded during last 24 hours ending at 6 am today at Kanaighat, 48 mm at Chandpur, 44 mm at Cox’s Bazar and, 34 mm at Lama.
