195 children of expatriates Bangladeshi from Chittagong to get stipend
17 December 2016, Nirapad News: District Employment and Manpower Office, Chittagong will distribute cheque for Taka 360,5100 tomorrow among the 195 children of expatriates Bangladeshi of the district to mark the International Migrants Day 2016.
Marking the day, the district office has chalked out a day-long comprehensive programme including rally, information fair on international labor and immigration and cultural function at district and Upazila level and stipend distribution programme among the children of expatriates Bangladeshi of Chittagong district, an official handout said today.
The banners also will be exhibited to congratulate the expatriates at the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office, Bangladesh Korea Technical Training Center (BKTTC) and Shah Amanat International Airport in the port city, it said.
The handout also said about 15 lakh people of the district have migrated abroad for working which is ever more than the others part of the country.
However, Secretary General of the United Nation (UN) Ban Ki-moon said “On this International Migrants Day, I call on the international community to act on the global compact on safe, regular and orderly migration as an important contribution to building a world of peace, prosperity, dignity and opportunity for all”, the handout quoted Ban Ki-moon as he issued a message on the day.
