2 hundi traders held with Tk14.5 lakh in Joypurhat

24 February 2016, Nirapad News: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two hundi (Sending money through unofficial channel) traders in possession of Tk14.5 lakh from Chechnra border area in Panchbibi upazila on Tuesday noon.

The arrestees were identified as Sudarshan Kundu, 27, son of Nityananda Kundu of Purbabazar, and Abul Hossain, 25, son of Abdul Karim, a resident of Shantinagar in Joypurhat district town.

Abdul Khabir Sardar, captain of Joypurhat Border Guard battalion 3, said on secrete information, a team of BGB conducted a drive there and arrested Sudarshan and Nityananda and found Tk14.5 lakhs after searching their bodies.

BGB members also seized two motorcycles from their possession.
