200 gold bars recovered at Shah Amanat Airport
03 March 2015, Nirapad News: Customs authorities recovered 200 gold bars worth Tk 10 crore at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Tuesday noon.
Moreover, 174 mini-cartons of lead and copper were also recovered from the airport.
Shah Amanat Airport assistant commissioner Dwaipayan Chakma told an Air Arabia flight from Dubai landed in Chittagong at 1:10 am on Monday. The gold bars were recovered from a carton of charger lights. The bars were kept hidden inside the charger lights in place of batteries.
On information, authorities concerned conducted a drive and recovered the gold bars. They would keep drives continue, the assistant commissioner added.
