There will be no shortage of vaccines: Zahid Maleque

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said Banglagedsh will get COVID-19 vaccine within either later this month or early next month.

Minister Zahid hoped that there will be no shortage of vaccines. He expressed the hope while distributing blankets among cold-hit poor people at Manikganj’s Sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon.

Different countries–including China, Russia, and USA– want to give Bangladesh COVID-19 vaccines, said Zahid continuing that “we have kept all the doors open”.

“The Pfizer company will give us some vaccines and we will distribute those among frontline fighters”, he concluded.

Among others, the district deputy commissioner SM Ferdous, superintendent of police Rifat Rahman Shamim, the upazila unit Awami League vice-president Abdul Majid, general secretary Afsar uddin, were present in the distribution programme.
