21-day embroidery training course begins in Rajshahi

24 November 2015, Nirapad News: A 21-day embroidery training course for women began in Charghat upazila of the district on Monday in order to make them self-reliant through income-generating activities.
Upazila Youth Development Office under its ‘upazila level training strengthening for employment generation program’ arranged the course at TDS hall room. 40 women are taking part in the course.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdus Samad addressed the inaugural session as chief guest with Youth Development Officer Syed Ali Reza in the chair. Upazila Drugs Eradication Committee President Saidul Islam, Upazila Press Club President Shariful Islam, Training Course Coordinator Rafiqul Islam and Credit Supervisor Nazrul islam also spoke.
UNO Abdus Samad said the government has adopted multidimensional programmes for uplifting the womenfolk. The participants should seize every opportunity offered by the government.
He said substantial improvement of women entrepreneurship could play vital role towards women empowerment and that could be the effective means of boosting their income generating activities.
Empowerment of women has become an urgent need for their financial independence. So, the government had introduced a bondless loan programme for women entrepreneurs.
As a whole, women, especially entrepreneurs, can progress only if the authorities concerned ease the way for them in launching their start-ups.
