3 BNP, Jamaat leaders land in jail in Jhalakati
10 Septembar 2015, Nirapad News: A court on Wednesday sent three leaders of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami to jail in a case filed in connection with an arson attack.
Jhalakati Special Tribunal Judge S M Solaiman passed the order rejecting their bail petitions when they surrendered before the court seeking bail.
The arrestees were BNP leaders Taijul Islam and Mamun Master and Jamaat leader Jannatul Islam.
A case was filed against them under the Special Powers Act in connection with the arson attack on a bus in Balaigari area during the hartal and blockade program enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance this year.
