Nirapad News : Three students of Eden Mohila College were burned in another arson attack by blockaders in Dhaka’s Khejur Bagan near Jatiya Sangsad today during BNP-led 20-party’s countrywide blockade.

The victims were Sathi Akhter, 19, Juthi Akhter, 19, and Maimuna Begum, 18, all first-year students of Islamic Studies under National University. They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

One Maymuna Akhter, a friend accompanying them, was hurt while trying to get off the burning bus in a hurry, hospital sources said.

Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital said miscreants set fire to the bus of ‘Bikalpa Paribahan’ by hurling a petrol bomb near the Sangshad Bhaban complex around 1:45 pm, leaving the three passengers of the bus injured

Sharmin received 8 percent burn injuries on her legs while Sathi 3 percent, also on her legs, the doctor said. They are currently attending treatments at the hospital.

Sources said, the girls were heading for the college on the last seats of the bus when the arson attack took place.
