3 on remand in Bogra mosque firing
29 November 2015, Nirapad News: A district court on Saturday placed three on remand in different terms in a case filed over the firing at a mosque at Shibganj Upazila in Bogra district.
Bogra additional chief judiciary magistrate court judge Shyam Sundar passed the order in the afternoon after a hearing when IO (investigation officer) of the case M Qamruzzaman, also inspector (investigation) of Shibganj Thana, produced six accused before the court with 10-day remand plea in the afternoon.
The judge granted seven-day remand for Anwar Hossain and Jewel Mia each and five-day remand for Imdadul Ulum Qawmi Madrasa principal Maulana Samsul Alam.
The other arrestees included Minhaj, son of one Hafizar Rahman; Shahinur, son of one Abul Hossain and Raihan Mia, son of one Abul Kalalm of the upazila.
Earlier on November 26, a group of miscreants opened fire at a mosque leaving one dead on the spot.
