4-day Indian music, dance festival begins in Rajshahi
20 Septembar 2015, Nirapad News: A four-day Indian music and dance festival began in Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Rajshahi Saturday evening Indira Gandhi Cultural Center, Dhaka and Indian Assistant High Commission in Rajshahi jointly organized the festival.
During his welcome address, Indian Assistant High Commissioner Sandip Mitra gave an
over view of the festival and its significance relating to the long-lasting cultural
relation between people of the two countries.
Rajshahi divisional Commissioner Helaluddin Ahmed and Deputy Commissioner Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury opened the festival as chief and special guests respectively.
Famous writer Prof Hassan Azizul Haque, former VC of Rajshahi University Prof Abdul
Khaleque and famous artist Amoresh Roy Chowdhury were present at the inaugural session.
Prominent artistes from different parts of India are taking part in the four-day festival.
