5 ‘JMB men’ held with explosives in the city

14 March 2016, Nirapad News: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested five suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) along with huge bombs and explosives from the city’s Matuail area on Sunday night.

One of the arrestees was identified as Huzaifa Akand, ameer of Mymensingh district unit of JMB reports UNB.

On secret information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive on the top floor of a six-storey building in Katherpool area around 8:30pm and arrested the five suspected JMB members, said Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rezaul Karim of Rab-10 said

They also recovered huge bombs, explosives and bomb-making materials from the apartment.
