6-lane flyover on Dhaka-Ctg highway by next year

5 August 2017, Nirapad News: Construction of the country’s first six-lane flyover on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Mohipal in Feni is going on in full swing with completion of 75 percent of its work, an official concerned said.

The official added that the construction work of the flyover would be completed before its scheduled time in early 2018.

The 660-meter flyover is being constructed involving Taka 157.99 crore to ease traffic congestion on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway with reducing sufferings of the commuters in the adjoining areas.

Mohipal stands at a major intersection on Dhaka-Chittagong highway. The intersection connects Dhaka on the north, Chittagong on the south, Feni on the east and Noakhali, Laksmipur and Chandpur on the west.

Abdul Monem Limited under the 19th Engineer Construction of Bangladesh Army is constructing the flyover. The main structure of the flyover would be 370 meters having two ramps with 145 meters for movement of regional motor vehicles.
