60-kg statue of Lord Vishnu found in Barisal
16 May 2016, Nirapad News: A 60-kg touchstone statue of the Lord Vishnu was found in a pond in Paiser Hat village under Agailjihara upazila of the district on Sunday.
Police said the statue, weighing 60-kg, was found while the labourers digging an old pond of one Nazrul Sikder of the village.
On information, a team of police of Agailjihara thana rushed to the spot and recovered the precious statue.
Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Agailjihara thana, said the matter was informed to the higher authority to take necessary measure in this regard.
