7 Jamaat-Shibir men placed on 5-day remand
08 November 2015, Nirapad News: A Dhaka court on Saturday placed seven activists of Jamaat-Shibir on a 5-day remand.
Metropolitan Magistrate Jahangir Hossain passed the order when Sub-Inspector of Motijheel thana Awal Hossain filed a petition, seeking a 10-day remand of seven Jamaat-Shibir activists who were arrested from its office in the capital on Friday evening.
Awal Hossain, also IO of the cases, in his remand petition said the Shibir activists need to interrogate for what were the motive to keep explosives.
The activists were remanded after hearing the case filed under the Explosives Substance Act. They accused are: Kabir Hossain, Shahadat Hossain Zahid, Khalilur Rahman, Mizanur Rahman Naim, Rashed Azam, Al Amin and Abdul Mohaimen.
One case was filed under the Explosives Substance Act and another case was filed under the Special Power Act.
