8 war crimes accused face warrant
10 December 2015, Nirapad News: International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Wednesday issued arrest warrant against eight accused of Mymensingh district in two cases for crimes against humanity in 1971.
Prosecution did not disclose names of the accused but Rezaul Islam by apprehending to flee the houses to escape arrest.
The two-member tribunal of Justice Shahinur Islam and Justice Mohammad Suhrawardy issued the warrant in reply to petition of prosecutor Mohammad Ali.
The tribunal also set February 4 for submitting the progress report on investigation against the accused.
Prosecutor Mohammad Ali said eight people, including Razeul Islam, was accused in two cases filed against them for crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
Investigation of the two cases is underway and arrest of the accused is needed for the sake of investigation.
