85.83 pc students pass JSC, JDC exams
The results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) Examinations-2018 were published today with 85.83 percent pass rate.
“This year, 68,095 students secured GPA-5,” Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid told a press briefing at his ministry here.
While addressing the press conference, he said, “We have attached priority to improving quality of education to achieve the target-4 of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). We have introduced modern and effective answer paper evaluation system aiming to evaluate answer script in an accurate manner.”
Nahid said the government is implementing various programmes to promote female education in the country.
Advancement of female education is a great achievement, which has been attributed to sincere efforts and strong commitment of the government, he added.
As many as 26, 70,333 students from 29,677 educational institutions appeared in this year’s JSC and JDC examinations. Of them, 12, 23,732 are male and 14, 46,601 are female students.
The number of JSC students was 22, 67,343 as 4,02,990 students participated in the JDC examination this year.
A total of 20, 18,271 students out of 24,82,382 passed the JSC and JDC exams last year, Nahid said adding the pass percentage of successful student was 83.65.
