ACC gives clean chit to ex-BMET director
21 Septembar 2015, Nirapad News: The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has cleared a former director of the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) of graft charges.
The Commission gave the clean chit to former BMET director Safiqur Rahman Chowdury through an official notice issued by ACC secretary Maksudul Hasan Khan recently.
Earlier, the ACC received a graft allegation in 2001 that Safiqur Rahman Chowdury (now retired) accumulated huge wealth through corruption when was a BMET director.
Taking the allegation into the account, the national anti-graft body later launched a probe against him, ACC sources said.
After conducting an inquiry against him, they said, the ACC did not find his involvement in any graft or irregularity.
The Commission also cleared M Abdul Kader, a stenographer of Education Engineering Department at Education Bhaban, of corruption charges.
