19 July 2016, Nirapad News: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) will take action against house-owners for hiding information about their tenants or not sharing that information with cops.

“DMP has carried many campaigns for collecting information about landlords and tenants in the capital. Such campaigns are still on. It would be possible to tackle crimes to a great extent if the house-owners become little aware, collect all the information about their tenants and submit those to the local police stations,” said deputy-commissioner Md Masudur Rahman.

The police official also added that they have distributed 20 lakh forms to collect information about house-owners and tenants and so far collected information about around 18 lakh people here in the capital.

In reply to a question on the efficiency of the officials of bit police, Masudur said if the city dwellers have any complaint about any such
officials, they can lodge their complaints with the senior officials of that concerned department.
