ADB forecasts 6.7pc GPD growth in FY 2015-16
22 September 2015, Nirapad News: Asian Development Bank (ADB) forecasts that the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of Bangladesh will grow by 6.7 per cent in 2015-16 financial year (FY16), according to the report of Asian Development Outlook-2015.
ADB country director disclosed the report at a press conference at its Agargaon office in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The report also forecasts that inflation rate will decline to 6.2 per cent.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has set 7 per cent GDP growth for the current fiscal year.
According to the report, a stable political environment, public and private sector investment as well as growth in export earnings and remittance inflow will fuel Bangladesh to achieve growth in FY 2015-16.
