Advance bus ticket sale begins

Private bus operators on Friday morning started selling advance bus tickets for homeward people ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest festival for Muslims, reports UNB.

People were seen waiting in long queues to collect their tickets at Gabtoli and Kalyanpur bus terminals as sale of tickets began at 6:00am.

The crowd was thin at Mohakhali bus terminal where tickets of short distance destinations like Mymensingh, Netrakona, Tangail are available.

Besides, tickets of 35 buses are also available through mobile app.

Bangladesh Railway will start selling advance train tickets on 29 July. The tickets will be sold at five spots -– Kamalapur, Airport, Banani and Tejgaon railway stations and Fulbaria in the capital.

Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated on 12 August, subject to appearance of the moon.
