DHAKA, Dec 20, 2014 Nirapad News : Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr. Hassan Mahmud yesterday called upon BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman to seek apology to the nation for their adverse comments.

“Khaleda Zia has talked in tune of her son Tarique Rahman. The BNP chairperson would have to seek apology to the people for this,” he said addressing a press conference at AL President’s Dhanmondi office in the city.

The press conference was held in response to, what it said, the ‘false’ statements made by Begum Zia at a convention in the city on Thursday.

Hassan said, “We thought that Begum Zia would seek apology to the nation for her son’s indecent remarks. But she astonished the nation by making same statements with her unrestrained tongue in the tune of her son.”

The AL leader requested to control tongues of herself and her son and abandon the mentality of throwing petrol bombs and waging attacks on the people.

“Otherwise, you and your son will burn in the fire of anger of country’s people,” he added. He said the remarks made by Khaleda Zia about the judges on Thursday are tantamount to contempt of court. He hoped that court would take actions against her for her contemptuous remarks.
