Surah Al-Isra, 17:22-24

Serve no other god but God, lest you incur disgrace and ruin; your Lord has enjoined you to worship none but him. He has also commanded you to show kindness to your parents. If either or both of your parents attain old age, and live with you, do not show any impatience towards them, or rebuke them; always speak to them gently. Treat them with humility and tenderness, praying: “Lord, be merciful to them; they cared for me in my infancy.”

Today’s Hadith is about Misfortune of Another

Wathilah bin Al-Asqa RA said: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “Do not express pleasure at the misfortune of a (Muslim) brother lest Allah should bestow mercy upon him and make you suffer from a misfortune.”

(Tirmidhi)
