Arakan separatist among 3 on fresh remand
07 Septembar 2015, Nirapad News: A Rangamati court Monday placed three people, including Arakan separatist Ong Yang Rakhain, on a three-day fresh remand for police interrogation.
Additional Judicial Magistrate Sabrina Ali passed the order when police produced the accused before it with a 10-day fresh remand plea around 11:00am.
Other remanded accused are two caretakers of house Mong Cha Wang, 39, and Cha Swing Aung Marma, 42.
The court also permitted police to quiz the accused at jail gate for five days in another case filed for illegal intrusion.
Earlier, the trio was remanded in two phases for five days and three days.
On August 27, joint forces of Army and police detained Myanmar separatist group Arakan Army man from Taitongpara College gate of Rajsthali in Rangamati a day after attack on BGB camp.
During the time, law enforcers recovered three combat dresses, three laptops and two horses from his possession, said Rajasthali Thana OC Ohidullah Sarkar.
The two caretakers were detained on August 28 from Mobboi Punarbashan Para of the Rajsthali upazila on Friday.
But police could not arrest another accused house owner Reng Jeng Ju alias Dr Remengsu as he has been staying in Thailand, said Rajsthali Thana Officer-in-charge (OC) Ohidullah Sarkar.
Later, police filed two cases under terrorism prevention act and foreigners act accusing the four people, including Arakan separatist Ong Yang Rakhain.
