Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall inaugurated
7 October 2015, Nirapad News: The 370-seat Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall was inaugurated on Begum Rokeya University, (BRUR), campus today to provide residential facilities to the male students.

inaugurated the Hall in a colourful ceremony held at the main gate of the hall as the chief guest.
The hall has been built at a cost of Taka 6.23 crore.
This is the second residential hall of the university, and first for the male students. The first ever 346-seat Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, built at a cost of Taka 6.70 crore, was inaugurated on July 14 in 2013.
Presided over by Provost Dr Kamolesh Chandra Roy of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall, Deans of different Faculties, Heads of different Departments, teachers and hundreds of students attended the ceremony.
Dean of the Faculty of Arts of BRUR Professor Dr Nazmul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Professor Dr Matiur Rahman, Provost of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall Dr Abu Saleh Mohammad Wadudur Rahman , Acting Provost of Shahed Mukhtar Elahi Hall Md. Ami Sharif and Acting Proctor of the university Md. Shahinur Rahman addressed as special guests.
Earlier, the VC hoisted the national flag on the hall premises and later, took part in doa and munajat along with the teachers, students and officials of the university.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the VC said residential halls are the best place for the students to transform themselves into worthy citizens.
He told the students that residential halls of any university are not merely the places for living only, but also for conducting studies and research activities amid congenial environment for building their own career.
The VC called upon the students to maintain peaceful and congenial atmosphere for education in the hall and strictly follow the rules and regulations set forth by the university.
