Bangladesh Bank heist final probe report submitted to government
30 May 2015, Nirapad News: The final report over the Bangladesh Bank heist by the government-instituted probe team has been submitted to the finance minister.
The inquiry body headed by former central bank governor Mohammed Farashuddin filed its finding on Monday to AMA Muhith at his office.
“The contents of the report will be disclosed soon and the recommendations made will be implemented,” Finance Minister AMA Muhith told the media.
Speaking to reporters at the ministry, Farashuddin said that their report provides an outline on how much of the stolen funds can be recovered in what ways.
“We initially thought that no one at the Bangladesh Bank was involved. That has changed a bit. Our report details what kind of involvement it is,” said the probe chief.
