Bangladesh concede 0-5 goals defeat to Tajikistan
14 November 2015, Nirapad News: Touring Bangladesh suffered a humiliating 0-5 goals defeat in their away match of the FIFA World Cup/Asia Cup Qualifiers to hosts Tajikistan at the Republican Central Stadium in Dushanbe on Thursday.
Tajik forward Manuchehr Dzhalilov made a hat-trick scoring four goals in the 16th, 26th, 59th and 73rd minutes while Akhtam Nazarov netted the other goal from a penalty in the 51st minute.
In the remaining group matches, Bangladesh will play giant Australia in their home match on November 17 and meet Jordan in their away match on March 24 next year.
Bangladesh, which started the day’s match aiming to snatch point from hosts Tajikistan to keep their hope alive for playing the Asia Cup Qualifiers directly, failed to make any resistance against the home team although they reached Dushanbe six days before the match to adjust with the local conditions.
In their home match at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on June 16, Bangladesh played to a 1-1 draw against Tajikistan after conceding a goal in the dying moment.
In the five-team Asian Group B, Bangladesh remained at the bottom securing only one point from six matches while Tajikistan were in the 4th slot bagging five points from six matches.
