Bangladesh enhances security to fight terrorism
03 February 2015, Nirapad News: US ambassador Marcia S Bernicat asserted that Bangladesh has increased its security measures to fight terrorism.
She made this assertion to the media after a meeting with home minister Asaduzzaman Khan at home ministry in city on Tuesday (February 2).
Earlier, the envoy met home minister over the US assistance to Bangladesh in fighting terrorism.
Hailing the government’s security initiatives the envoy said “Bangladesh government’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy in fighting terrorism is praiseworthy. The US also believes in this policy”.
She assured that the US assistance in academic training for Bangladesh police force to curb money laundering and fight terrorism will continue.
“US and Bangladesh are working together in global security and fighting terrorism.”
