Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad observes 7th March
08 March 2015, Nirapad News: Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad observed the Historic 7th March at the Chancery complex.
Apart from the discussion program, documentary on Bangabandhu’s 7th March historic speech was shown to mark the day.
The day’s programme started at 10 hours where officials and employees of the High Commission attended. Besides, the message received from Prime Minister was read out at the outset of the programme.
High Commissioner Suhrab Hossain, in his speech, paid glowing tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for his contribution to the country’s independence, and explained significance of the day.
He focused on the role of the Historic 7th March in the nation’s history, and shared his experiences on those historic days of 1971 with the audience.
Suhrab Hossain narrated how Bangabandhu’s historic 7th March speech shaped the course of the liberation movement in the following days.
He urged all concerned to uphold the spirit of the day and work for the economic emancipation of the people.
