Bangladesh up by 2 steps in Global Competitiveness Index
30 September 2015, Nirapad News: Bangladesh has moved up two steps to 107 in the Global Competitiveness Index, compared with last year’s 109th among 140 countries in the world.
The report of World Economic Forum said in a report published worldwide on Wednesday.
At a press conference at Brac Inn in the city, Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) revealed the rankings prepared by World Economic Forum.
India has moved up 16 positions to rank 55th on a global index of the world’s most competitive economies, where Switzerland remains on top.
Globally, Switzerland has retained its top position as the world’s most competitive economy for seventh year in a row and is followed by Singapore, the US, Germany and the Netherlands in the top-five.
These are followed by Japan, Hong Kong, Finland, Sweden and the UK in the top-ten.
