Bangladeshi killed in Saudi road crash
16 March 2015, Nirapad News: A Bangladeshi worker was killed in a road crash in in the Holy Mecca city in Saudi Arabia on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Kuddus, 48, hails from Joypara village under Dohar Upazila in Dhaka district. Police quoting witnesses said a truck ran over Abdul Kuddus while he was crossing the road in Azizia Shimaliya area in the pilgrimage city around 4:30 pm, leaving him critically injured.
Police rushed to the spot and rescued him. The law-enforcers whisked him off to local Al-Nur Hospitals where the attending doctor declared him dead. The police also detained the truck driver and seized the vehicle.
