Bangladeshis’ average age increased by 3-year
20 December 2015, Nirapad News: In the last five years, the average age of the people of Bangladesh has increased by 0.60 percent every year.
‘The average age of Bangladeshis was 67.7 year in 2010, which reaches 70.7 years in 2014,’ the data was revealed in a ‘Report on Bangladesh Sample Vital Strategic 2014: Monitoring the Situation of Vital Studies of Bangladesh project (SVRS Report 2014)’.
According to the report published at a at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in city on Sunday, the mortality rate of men has increased than Women, and death risk in village surplus than from towns.
The rate of domination by men on Bangladeshi women is still higher. Men remain the chief of 87.8 percent families of the country.
However, the gender ratio between women and men has decreased in the last three years. The ratio was 104.9 percent in 2012, which was 100.5 percent in 2014, the report added.
Besides, women’s dependency on men has decreased in mentionable rate.
The rate was 80 percent in 2012, which reached at 57 percent in 2014.
