Bangladeshis send $4-bln remittances in Q1
8 October 2015, Nirapad News: A Bangladesh Bank (BB) official on Wednesday disclosed that the Bangladeshis residing and working abroad remitted around $4 billion in the first quarter of 2015-2016 Fiscal Year.
The BB official also said the flow of inward remittances in the first three months of current fiscal (July 2015-June 2016) fell two percent, worth to $3,930.86 million.
The official also said the remittance inflow in July was $1,389.56-million and in August $1,195.02-million.
The amount of remittance, however, stood at $1,346.28-million in September, which is 0.15 percent less than that of the same period earlier year, he added.
