BCL factional clash at CU after committee suspended
10 February 2016, Nirapad News: Two factions of pro-government Bangladesh Chhatra League in Chittagong University have clashed.
The incident occurred within an hour after the university committee was suspended as a consequence of another round of fights.
At least four rooms of Suhrawardy Hall were ransacked during the clash shortly after midnight on Wednesday, police said.
It was the second round of clashes in two days between supporters of Chittagong University Chhatra League president Alamgir Tipu and those of general secretary Rabbi Sujon.
Earlier on Monday, at least six Chhatra League activists were injured in a clash over establishing supremacy on the campus.
On Tuesday night, the Chhatra League central committee suspended the university committee over the Monday clash.
