Bhutanese parliamentary delegation meets Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir

02 February 2015, Nirapad News: A four-member Bhutanese parliamentary delegation headed by speaker Lyonpo Jigme Zangpo of Bhutan’s National Assembly, today met Chairman of Parliamentary Stranding Committee on Public Accounts Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here.

The other members of the delegation were Rinzin Dorji, MP, Zangley Dukpa, MP, and Sanjay Duba. Bhutanese envoy in Dhaka Pema Choden was also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues related to bilateral issues and mutual interest.

They emphasized different aspects of trade, investment and development and strengthening bilateral relations.

Alamgir lauded the role of Bhutan as a close friend of Bangladesh, saying, it was the first country to recognize Bangladesh as an independent nation.
