Biman to carry 51,000 pilgrims to KSA
13 August 2015, Nirapad News: The Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to carry 51,000 hajj pilgrims to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through 145 direct flights on Dhaka-Jeddah-Dhaka route.
The first flight will take off with 419 pilgrims from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:35am on August 16.
Meanwhile, the national carrier completed all kinds of preparations to conduct the flights without any hassle.
This year, 101,758 pilgrims are expected to go from Bangladesh to perform hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The hajj is expected to be held on September 22, if the moon is sighted.
However, the last flight will take off at 10:15am on September 17 with VIP passengers.
The return flights will run from September 28 to October 7.
