BNP chief orders manslaughters sitting in a secured place: Matia
11 March 2015, Nirapad News: Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury today accused BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia of ordering manslaughters and arson remaining inside her protected office at up market Gulshan area in the capital.
“She (Begum Zia) is issuing orders to kill innocent people through arson attacks sitting in a secured place,” the minister told a public rally at Manikganj Government High School premises.
She added while the BNP-led alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami being its partner was in power they tried to suppress the ordinary farmers’ demand for fertilizers using bullets and now they were carrying out arson attacks to grab the power.
The minister said Bangladesh with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government in power now saw self sufficiency in food with increased yields as the farmers were getting adequate fertilizer and other inputs without any harassment.
“We are reaching the (agriculture) inputs at their doorsteps,” she said.
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malik, MP, Naimur Rahman Durjoy, MP, Mamtaj Begum, MP, JSD central leader Nurul Ambia also spoke at the function while Advocate Golam Mohiuddin, administrator of Manikganj Zila Parishad and President of Manikganj District Awami League chaired the rally.
