BNP flays Home minister for cops’ ‘audacity’
06 February 2016, Nirapad News: BNP senior leader Hafizuddin Ahmed has criticised Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan for audacious behaviour of policemen who allegedly tortured some innocent people to death recently.
“The home minister on Friday claimed police always do good things. Due to such common statements, police are now exceeding the limit frequently,” the BNP leader observed.
Hafizuddin made the remarks at a discussion at the National Press Club on Saturday.
Policemen allegedly caused the death of a tea seller amid the criticism against them for torturing officials of Bangladesh Bank and Dhaka South City Corporation.
Former Minister Hafizuddin said although the Home Minister is assuring the victims’ families of investing the incident and bringing the culprits to book. At the same time, Asaduzzaman is appreciating policemen, as a result they are becoming audacious, he added.
