22 February 2015, Nirapad News: In terms of ongoing destructive activities, including killing people through petrol bombs by BNP-Jamaat alliance as attacks on the country’s independence, language, existence and Bangladeshi nationalism, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said there should be a return to all these attacks.

“Many people are saying many things, but they don’t want to realize the reality. These are not normal killings, these are attacks on our independence, language, existence and Bangladeshi nationalism. We have to return all these attacks,” she said.

The Prime Minister was addressing the inaugural function of a three-day programme of International Mother Language Institute at city’s Segun Bagicha marking Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day 2015.

Accusing the BNP-Jamaat of carrying out these destructive activities for materializing their ill-motives, Hasina said, “When the country is advancing economically and adjudged as a role model for many countries around the world, why are they creating such a situation to invite others to advise, why? We could solve our own problems,” she said.

Hasina, also the chief of the ruling Awami League, said the country is now witnessing attacks by devils in the disguise of human. “This is not politics at all, this is purely murder, this is just killing people, this situation cannot be tolerated to go on, the whole nation have to be vocal,” she added.

The Prime Minister said Bangladeshi people knows it very well how to move ahead defying all odds. “We have that history and that history will teach us how to proceed overcoming the present situation; I have the conviction that the nation will do that.”

She said just like the natural calamities, the country sometimes goes through man-made calamities too. “And we’re now going through those disasters; It’s very unfortunate to kill people in arson attacks. There’s nothing more hateful than this,” she said adding that the BNP-Jamaat alliance is committing this.

Hasina asked against whom they (BNP-Jamaat) are actually taking revenge. “Does it mean they cannot like that Bangladesh is becoming independent? Or don’t they like Bangla? Or don’t they like International Mother Language Day or Martyrs’ Day?” she questioned, adding “or that means they do not want to keep up the dignity of the Bangladesh that it has achieved worldwide”.

The Prime Minister went saying, “They’re playing roles of anti-independence or anti-nationalism, this is unfortunate. But the Bangalis never bow down to anyone.”

In this situation, Hasina sought cooperation from all. “People need to be made aware, if the Bangalis become aware once, they could face any situation,” she added.
