BNP-Jammat top suspects in publishers, bloggers killings: Law Minister
05 November 2015, Nirapad News: Law Minister Anisul Haq today said BNP-Jammat clique is the top suspects in the killing of publishers and bloggers incidents in the country.
“BNP-Jammat’s recent activities and bribed statement of Amnesty International revealed who were behind the killings. They (BNP-Jammat leaders) are top suspects in the recent spate of killings,” he told a
discussion at WVA auditorium here.
Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee organized the discussion on “The Constitution of 1972: Trial of War Criminals and Prescription to root out fundamentalism and terrorism”.
“There are enough legal basis to express suspicion of BNP-Jammat clique’s involvement in the killing of blogger and publisher as they have interests with such killings,” the minister observed.
The law minister said that trial of blogger Rajib murder will start from November 8 and expressed the hope that the trial would be finished this month.
Chairman of National Human Rights Commission Dr Mizanur Rahman, president of Nirmul Committee Shahriar Kabir, Bangladesh Mohila Parishad President Ayesha Khanom, International Crimes Tribunal Prosecutors Rana Das Gupta and Turin Afroj addressed the discussion.
Nirmul Committee Adviser Justice Syed Amirul Islam presided over.
