04 August 2015, Nirapad News: A Dhaka court on Sunday sent BNP leader Amanullah Aman to jail after rejecting his bail petitions in 46 cases.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh passed the order after the BNP leader surrendered before the court this morning, seeking bail in total 60 violence cases against him.

Meanwhile, four Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Courts granted bail to BNP senior leader MK Anwar in six cases filed for arson attack and vandalism with Khilgaon, Paltan, Motijheel and Jatrabari police stations.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrates Ashoke Kumar Dutta, Aminul Haque, Asaduzzaman Nur and Tarek Mainul Bhuiya passed the orders when he surrendered before their courts on completion of his four-week bail granted by the High Court earlier.

Meanwhile, hearing on the bail petition filed by BNP chairperson adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo in a case filed with Paltan Police Station was also deferred for lack of case document.

Twelve separate courts, including a judicial magistrate court, 10 metropolitan magistrates’ court and a metropolitan sessions judge’s court are dealing the cases.

Earlier in the morning, BNP standing committee member MK Anwar, Chairperson’s adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo and joint secretary general Aman Ullah Aman surrendered before separate courts in the capital in 71 cases after the Supreme Court scrapped their anticipatory bail.
