Bombs blast while minister’s car passes TSC area
05 February 2015, Nirapad News: Two crude bombs have been exploded in TSC area of Dhaka University while the car of Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Nur was passing through the area.
Shahbagh OC Sirajul Islam said miscreants set two crude bombs off in TSC area around 1:30pm on Wednesday.
He, however, said none was detained in connection with the incident.
Another crude bomb was also exploded in the TSC area around 3pm.
The ongoing Hartal enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance is being marked amid explosions, vandalism and arson across the country.
At least 50 people were killed in nearly-a-month-long blockade and intermittent Hartal enforced by the opposition alliance.
Hundreds of vehicles, including those belonging to law-enforcers, were burnt and attacked.
The BNP-led 20-party alliance has been observing countrywide roads and waterways blockade for indefinite period since January 5.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia called the non-stop blockade on the day after she was barred from coming out of her Gulshan office.
