BSTI accredited in India
21 May 2015, Nirapad News: National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), national testing standard organization of India, accredited the testing certificate of Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institute (BSTI).
The NABL has acknowledged the testing certificate of 25 products and 143 parameters forwarded by chemical and physical laborites of BSTI, which would help increase the export of Bangladeshi products.
It was revealed at a discussion meeting organized by BSTI at Man Bhaban to mark the World Metrology Day.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu said quality and standard of raw materials are needed to be ensured for making any kind of equipment, which is used to generate, distribute and transmit power.
He urged the entrepreneurs to avoid low quality raw materials for making electric equipment.
Acting Industries Secretary Sushen Chandra Das, FBCCI President Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed and BSTI Metrology Department Director M Ali spoke on the occasion with BSTI Director General Iqramul Huq in the chair.
