Bullet-hit baby Suraiya shifted to cabin
16 August 2015, Nirapad News: Suraiya, who was hit by a bullet while still in womb, has been shifted to her mother’s cabin at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday afternoon.
She will get release from the hospital soon, the physicians informed.
Neonatal surgery department assistant professor Dr Kaniz Hasina Shiuli handed over the bullet-hit baby to her mother, who is also undergoing treatment at the hospital, after getting release from neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
DMCH director Brigadier General Mizanur Rahman and the physicians of both mother and baby were present during the event.
Getting her daughter in hands, mother Nazma Begum told banglanews that she is overwhelmed with joy as her baby is now in her lap.
Earlier on July 23, two groups of Magura district unit of ruling Awami League’s youth wing Jobu League locked into clashes leaving pregnant Nazma Khatun and Momin Bhuiyan bullet-shot.
Momin died later on July 24 when undergoing medical treatment.
