21 December 2016, Nirapad News: A case was filed against nine officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Tuesday night in connection with the technical glitch in a flight carrying prime minister Sheikh Hasina last month.

Director (Engineering and Management) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines MAM Asaduzzaman filed the case with airport police station around 11: 00pm, said officer-in-charge of the police station Nur-E-Azam.

The Biman flight, carrying the prime minister, had to make an emergency landing at Ashgabat International Airport in Turkmenistan on her way to Budapest on 27 November following low oil pressure in its engine.

Following its necessary repair work, the flight left Ashgabat Airport after a delay of over four hours.

Three separate probe committees were formed over the incident by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) and Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry on 28 November.

A total of nine officials, including three engineers of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, were suspended for their negligence of duty in this connection.
